Why we love it

The Tram, Corbet's Couloir and Teton views. Some of the most challenging lift-served terrain in North America, in a proper cowboy town.

Getting there

Jackson Hole Airport sits inside Grand Teton National Park, about 30 minutes from Teton Village, with direct flights from many US cities in winter. Idaho Falls is around two hours away and Salt Lake City about five. START buses link the town of Jackson with the resort.

Who it's for

Jackson Hole is famous for advanced and expert skiing. The Aerial Tram takes you to the top of Rendezvous Mountain, with Corbet's Couloir, steep chutes and huge backcountry gates nearby. Intermediates have good groomers on Apres Vous and Casper, and beginners have a dedicated learning area at the base.

Best time to go

January and February usually bring the deepest powder and coldest temperatures. March has longer, sunnier days and still plenty of snow. The upper mountain can be windy and icy early in the season, so it's worth waiting until the base has built up.
