Why we love it
Parsenn's classic descents run for kilometres down to the valley. Six ski areas, a historic resort town and quiet off-piste in every direction.
Getting there
Zurich Airport is the closest major airport, about 150 km and two hours by road. By train, travel from Zurich to Landquart and change onto the Rhaetian Railway to Klosters or Davos, about 2 to 2.5 hours in total. Both towns have stations right next to the lifts.
Who it's for
Davos Klosters has something for everyone. Parsenn is classic intermediate territory with long runs down to the valley, Jakobshorn is the freestyle mountain, Pischa is left mostly ungroomed for freeriders, and Madrisa above Klosters is great for families and beginners.
Best time to go
January to March has the most reliable snow. Davos sits at 1,560 m and the ski areas go up to almost 2,850 m, so conditions are usually good all season. Avoid the week of the World Economic Forum in January if you want quieter slopes and normal hotel prices.
